1. Who we are
The Plugin and Service are provided by Shakvaro (operated by Shakil Ahamed), based in Chattogram, Bangladesh. Contact: support@shakvaro.com.
2. License
The free Shakvaro Content Engine plugin is licensed under GPLv2 or later. You may use, modify, and redistribute it under that license. The Pro extension is distributed under a separate commercial license available from shakvaro.com.
3. What the Plugin does
The Plugin connects WordPress to AI providers you configure (OpenAI, Google Gemini, the Shakvaro AI gateway, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint) and uses your API key to generate content, rewrite meta descriptions, and validate 404 URLs. It is a bring-your-own-key tool — we do not supply AI credits.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Configuring your own AI provider API key. Costs incurred via that provider are your own.
- The content the Plugin generates and publishes on your site. AI output can be inaccurate, biased, or infringing — you must review before publishing.
- Complying with the terms of service of any AI provider you connect (OpenAI, Google, etc.).
- Keeping your WordPress installation, themes, and plugins up to date.
- Backing up your site before bulk operations (template seeding, bulk meta regeneration, settings import).
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the Plugin or Service to:
- Generate content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, or that violates a third party's rights.
- Generate spam, or scraped/duplicated content at scale to manipulate search rankings in ways that violate Google's spam policies.
- Generate CSAM, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that exploits or harms minors.
- Reverse engineer, abuse, or attempt to overload the Shakvaro AI gateway.
We may suspend access to the hosted Shakvaro AI gateway if we detect abuse.
6. Shakvaro AI gateway (Service)
The hosted Service at shakvaro-ai.shakilahamed.com is OpenAI-compatible and accessed via the optional Companion plugin. Use of the Service requires a Shakvaro account. Pricing, quotas, and SLA for the Service are published on shakvaro.com and may change with 30 days' notice.
Requests sent to the Service include your prompt, generation parameters, and your Shakvaro API key. We do not retain prompt content beyond what is necessary to fulfill the request and bill for usage. See the Privacy Policy for full data-handling details.
7. Third-party services
When you configure OpenAI, Google Gemini, or any other external provider, your prompts and content are sent to that provider under their terms and privacy policy — not ours. We are not a party to your relationship with them.
The Plugin also queries the public Wikipedia REST API for the [olink: PHRASE] shortcode. Wikipedia content is licensed under CC BY-SA.
8. Updates
The free plugin is distributed via WordPress.org. Updates are delivered through the standard WordPress update mechanism. Pro updates are delivered from shakvaro.com when a valid license key is configured.
9. No warranty
The Plugin and Service are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Plugin will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce particular results. AI-generated output may be inaccurate — verify before relying on it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Plugin or Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, or reputational harm.
This does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (e.g., gross negligence, willful misconduct, consumer rights in your jurisdiction).
11. Termination
You may stop using the Plugin at any time by deactivating and deleting it. We may terminate access to the hosted Service for breach of these Terms, abuse, or non-payment. Sections 4, 5, 9, 10, 12, and 13 survive termination.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on shakvaro.com and reflected in the "Last updated" date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bangladesh, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring action in your local jurisdiction.
